Many Self-Direction participants and their families are actively seeking Community Habilitation and Respite staff to add to their care team.
The Self-Direction program allows individuals and their families the ability to choose their own staff, set their own schedules and set their own pay rates for their staff.
Direct-support professionals are reimbursed for mileage during service time and may be reimbursed for other staff activity related expenses as well.

Community Habilitation staff are on the front lines of helping individuals with developmental disabilities to live as happy, healthy and independently as possible. These direct-service professionals help to teach important skills and help individuals to achieve personal goals.
Respite staff serve the critical role of providing necessary relief to parents and other primary caregivers. They also get to just have FUN!

All new applicants will be subject to a background check and fingerprinting process with the member's Fiscal Intermediary agency. A valid NYS driver's license is also required. The Fiscal Intermediary agency is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
